The Ancient Secret Signal of Giants

Since the dawn of time, giants have had a secret signal. A signal so secretive that only recently has it been discovered. However, the exact meaning of this secret signal remains a mystery.

The signal is an outstretched arm, with palm facing down, held above the head of a 'not giant' (giants refer to people of normal height as 'not giants'). Giants communicate with other giants with this signal. The meaning is known only to giants.

This signal is often misinterpreted by 'not giants' as a gesture to make humorous photographs. However, this signal is thought to have rather darker undertones.

The exact meaning of this signal is not yet known, but it is thought to be similar to today's hand signs 'thrown up' or 'flashed' by various street gangs. Modern hand signs are used to 'claim territory' or signal certain intentions between members of different or competing gangs.

It is as likely as not that giants used their not-so-subtle signal in a very similar way. Flashing this signal in a photograph published in a local newspaper was a way for giants to claim their territory and warn off other giants from entering their area.

The use of head wear or hats while displaying the signal is thought to add a certain weight to the signal. Or maybe it was simply the fashion at the time.

The ramifications of ignoring this signal may never be discovered. But, as the old adage goes, "never anger a giant."
