10 Worst Vampire Movies of the Last Decade

The vampire mythos is prime fodder for the movie industry. Immortal beings who drink the blood of the living, sexy vixens who lure their prey with the promise of pleasure. It's a universe with endless story possibilities. Countless vampire movies have been made, and most of them are bad… really bad.

Here's our list of some of the worst vampire movies from the last 20 years or so.
Our qualification for 'worst' is based on the movie itself and not on performance or box office numbers. We're featuring movies from Hollywood studios with proper marketing budgets and theatrical releases.

Dracula 2000 (2000)

Plot: A group of thieves break into a chamber expecting to find paintings, but instead they release the count himself, who travels to New Orleans to find his nemesis' daughter, Mary Van Helsing.

Dracula 3000 (2004)

Plot: Count Dracula terrorizes the crew of a spaceship.

*Note: This was actually a TV release, but we just had to include it because of the plot description. It's Dracula… in space!

Blood: The Last Vampire (2009)

Plot: A vampire named Saya, who is part of covert government agency that hunts and destroys demons in a post-WWII Japan, is inserted in a military school to discover which one of her classmates is a demon in disguise.

BloodRayne (2005)

Plot: In the Eighteenth Century, Rayne is the half-human half-vampire Dhampir and the lead attraction in a carnival's freak-show in Romania.

Queen of the Damned (2002)

Plot: The vampire Lestat becomes a rock star whose music wakes up the queen of all vampires.

Cirque de Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009)

Plot: A young boy named Darren Shan meets a mysterious man at a freak show who turns out to be a Vampire. After a series of events Darren must leave his normal life and go on the road with the Cirque Du Freak and become a Vampire.

30 Days of Night (2007)

Plot: After an Alaskan town is plunged into darkness for a month, it is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires.

Daybreakers (2009)

Plot: In the year 2019, a plague has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the fractured dominant race plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save humankind.

Van Helsing (2004)

Plot: The notorious monster hunter is sent to Transylvania to stop Count Dracula who is using Dr. Frankenstein's research and a werewolf for some sinister purpose.
