A Real Life Towering Inferno

An apartment building in Shanghai undergoing renovations burst into flames on November 15, 2010. 58 people died and over 70 people were injured as the building caught fire and turned into a towering inferno.
The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, but it is believed to have been started by unlicensed welders. Lax safety and building codes are blamed. As a result, the Chinese government is instituting stricter building codes and regulations.
